In April of this year, permit restrictions and insufficient opportunities for further growth led to the decision to cease pig slaughtering in Geldrop. Growth is essential to improve cost efficiency and continue offering our customers the right market prices.
Since April, pig slaughtering has been handled by Compaxo in Zevenaar. Some of the pork continued to be further processed by PALI Meat in Oss. However, this activity will cease as of September 1.
The purchase and sale of piglets, pigs and sows will continue. Indeed, PALI Group has expanded its team and aims to strengthen its market position in the pig trade.
