On Wednesday, April 15, the first edition of the Food & Beverage Market organized by Van der Valk Purchasing took place. As one of the Van der Valk suppliers, Vitelco was invited to participate in this wonderful event.

With the convenience products of Duke’s Cuisine, we aim to inspire chefs, but we also value hearing the experiences of the professionals who work with our products on a daily basis.

During the event, we organized two inspiring masterclasses together with Unilever Food Solutions, focusing on craftsmanship, product knowledge, and culinary creativity. During each masterclass, three refined beef cuts — entrecote, ribeye, and tenderloin — were cut directly from the striploin and prepared on-site. The UFS chefs then prepared a warm sauce to accompany each cut of meat, with every sauce being created and presented in three different ways. For many participants, it was the first time they had seen a loin being deboned and learned where the different cuts originate from within the animal.

It was fantastic to see how much enthusiasm, interest, and passion came together during this first edition of the F&B Market!
